Terms of Service
Effective October 15, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Peerie, operated by Adaptive Studio. By accessing or using Peerie, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Peerie does
Peerie helps you keep emails, files, photos, links, and notes together, then ask questions about that saved information. It may process content automatically after submission and show passive highlights of upcoming items. Features may change as the service develops.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to use an account. Use an email address you control and keep your inbox, access links, and signed-in devices secure. Let us know if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
When you invite another email address and its recipient confirms, that person can access the same saved content, questions, and answers. Invite only people you intend to share with. You are responsible for submissions and activity you authorize through the account. An email address can belong to only one active Peerie account; invitations do not merge separate accounts.
Your content stays yours
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You give Adaptive Studio a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, store, reproduce, process, and transmit that content as needed to provide Peerie to your account, including through our service providers. This permission does not allow us to sell your content, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it. It continues only as needed for the service and the retention purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
You must have the right or permission to submit content and to share it with others on your account. Do not submit content unlawfully or violate another person’s privacy, copyright, or other rights. We own the Peerie software, branding, and service, apart from your content and third-party materials.
Acceptable use
Do not use Peerie for illegal activity, spam, harassment, malware, unauthorized access, or attempts to evade safeguards or disrupt the service. Do not misrepresent your identity or attempt to access another account’s information. We may reject unsafe or unsupported files and apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect the service.
Check important answers and dates
AI can make mistakes, miss context, or produce incomplete or inaccurate answers. Extraction, link retrieval, and processing can also fail or take time. Check original sources before acting on important information, especially dates, deadlines, financial matters, health, or legal issues.
Peerie is a convenience tool, not a guaranteed reminder, calendar, backup system, or professional adviser. Passive upcoming highlights may omit items and are not a promise of notification. Keep your own copies of important files and maintain any reminders you cannot afford to miss.
Email-based access and your security
Peerie uses confirmed email addresses and email-provider authentication to identify the account associated with emailed requests. These checks reduce spoofing risk but do not guarantee the identity of the person sending a message. Domain authentication, including DMARC, does not independently authenticate the individual mailbox owner. A sending provider’s configuration, compromised email account, or compromised device can undermine these protections. Use a reputable email provider that properly configures and enforces sender authentication and offers strong account-security controls. Avoid shared or publicly accessible mailboxes for private account access.
Someone who controls a linked mailbox or a valid sign-in link may be able to sign in, ask about saved information, or access a shared account. Protect every linked mailbox and device, do not share access links with people you do not intend to authorize, and use multifactor authentication with your email provider where available. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. These responsibilities do not remove Adaptive Studio’s security or privacy obligations under applicable law.
Requested answers may contain personal information and are sent to the verified originating account address. Peerie does not use a message’s alternative Reply-To address to redirect those answers. Email replies are not end-to-end encrypted and may be retained, copied, or forwarded outside Peerie. Consider who can access your mailbox and any confirmed address sharing your account before submitting sensitive material.
Emails and third-party services
Using Peerie involves email access links, confirmations, account invitations, requested answers, and necessary service notices. Optional acknowledgement emails can be changed in Account. Email delivery depends on third parties and is not guaranteed. External links and third-party services are subject to their own terms; we do not control their content or availability.
Availability, changes, and charges
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features, including to address security, abuse, maintenance, or legal requirements. The service may have interruptions or errors. If paid features are offered, prices and applicable billing terms will be disclosed before you agree to a charge; these Terms alone do not authorize an undisclosed charge.
Ending use and deleting content
You can stop using Peerie at any time and delete submissions in My Peerie. Contact us to request account closure. We may restrict or suspend access for violations, security risks, or legal requirements. Information is handled after deletion or closure as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Peerie is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that content will always be retrievable or that every event or deadline will be identified.
To the extent permitted by law, Adaptive Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data arising from use of Peerie. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for Peerie in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Applicable law and updates
Michigan law governs these Terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Kent County, Michigan.
We may revise these Terms and will post an updated effective date. We will provide notice of material changes when required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. No change removes rights that cannot be waived by law.
